Shipping & Delivery

Alhaurín Furniture Emporium offers local, nationwide and international shipping services. If you find a piece you would like delivered, we will offer you a tailored, insured, white glove service using the most reliable carriers in the logistics industry we partner with.

For a shipping quote, please send us your information, address, and delivery details (house, apartment, floor level, elevator, staircase...) and we will get back to you with a fair quote.

Industry standard delivery time frame for safely transporting large and collectible pieces is 2 to 6 weeks depending on the location. For smaller items, we pack them ourselves and ship them via UPS Ground.

You are also welcome to collect your purchase from our shop during opening hours or by appointment.

Returns

We want you to love your piece. We describe and photograph every item carefully in our studio and are happy to answer any question before you buy.

Purchases made online or at a distance

If you bought from our website, by phone, email or message, without visiting the shop, you have 14 calendar days from delivery to change your mind, without giving a reason.

• To cancel: email hello@alhaurinfurniture.es with your name, order number and the piece, within those 14 days.

• Returning the piece: send it back, or have it ready for collection, within 14 days of telling us. Return shipping is at your expense. For large pieces that can't go by regular post, we can arrange collection with our carriers and will give you the estimated cost in advance.

• Condition: please handle the piece only as you would in a shop and return it in the same condition, well protected. If it comes back damaged or has been used beyond what's needed to check it, we may deduct the loss in value from your refund.

• Refund: we refund the price and the standard delivery cost you paid, within 14 days of your cancellation, using your original payment method. We may wait until the piece is back at our shop before issuing it.

• Exceptions: pieces made or upholstered to your own specifications (for example, reupholstered in a fabric you chose) cannot be returned unless faulty.

Purchases made in our shop

For pieces you saw and bought in person, there is no legal right of withdrawal. As a goodwill gesture, we accept returns within 5 business days of delivery or collection, with a 15% restocking fee. Return transport is at your expense, and the refund is issued once the piece is back at our shop in the same condition.

Condition and patina

Our pieces are vintage and mostly original (unless noted), so light surface scratches, small scuffs or minor discoloration are expected. The condition documented in our photographs forms part of the description and purchase agreement and is not a reason for a faulty-item return.

Faulty or not as described

If your piece arrives damaged or isn't as described, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos. Your legal guarantee rights apply in addition to this policy.

These terms apply to all purchases from Alhaurín Furniture Emporium, in store and through this website. By placing an order, you accept them.

1. Who we are

Alhaurín Furniture Emporium is operated by Aymerick Rondeau, NIE Z3170817L, Camino del Zángano 33, 29120 Alhaurín el Grande, Málaga, Spain. Contact: hello@alhaurinfurniture.es, +34 608 86 23 10.

2. Our pieces

We sell second-hand, vintage and collectible furniture and home accessories through two collections: La Boutique and La Galeria. Each piece is unique and sold in its current condition, which is described and photographed as accurately as we can.

Because our pieces are pre-owned and mostly original (unless noted), age-appropriate wear and patina, such as light surface scratches, small scuffs, minor discoloration or historical repairs, is expected and is part of their character. The condition shown in our photographs forms part of the product description and of the purchase agreement. If you would like more photos, measurements or details before buying, just ask.

Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen.

3. Prices

Prices are in euros and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is not included and is quoted separately. We may change prices at any time, but the price that applies is the one shown when you place your order.

4. Availability

Our pieces are one of a kind and are also on display in our shop, so a piece may sell in store before your online order is confirmed. If that happens, we will let you know straight away and refund any payment in full.

5. Orders and payment

Your order is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email. We accept [payment methods]. Full payment is required before collection or dispatch, unless agreed otherwise in writing.

6. Reservations and deposits

We can hold a piece for a short period with a deposit of [amount or %], for up to [number] days. If you complete the purchase, the deposit is deducted from the price. If you do not complete it within that period, the piece returns to sale and the deposit is [refunded / kept, as agreed when reserving].

7. Collection and delivery

You can collect your purchase from our shop during opening hours or by appointment, or have it delivered as described in Shipping & Delivery above.

Please check your piece on delivery and tell us about any transport damage within 48 hours, with photos, so we can deal with the carrier quickly. This does not affect your legal rights.

8. Returns and right of withdrawal

9. Legal guarantee

As a consumer, you have legal rights if a piece does not match its description or has a hidden defect that was not disclosed. For second-hand goods, this guarantee lasts 1 year from delivery. Normal wear, patina and any condition shown in our photographs or description are not defects. If something is wrong, contact us and we will repair, replace (where possible), reduce the price, or refund, as the law provides.

10. Liability

We are not responsible for misuse of a piece, damage caused after delivery, or delays caused by events beyond our control. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under Spanish law.

11. Complaints

If you have a complaint, please contact us first at hello@alhaurinfurniture.es and we will do our best to resolve it. Official complaint forms (hojas de quejas y reclamaciones) are available in our shop.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring any claim before the courts of your place of residence.

At Alhaurín Furniture Emporium we respect your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

What data we collect

• Contact and enquiries: name, email, phone number and your message when you contact us by form, email, phone or WhatsApp.

• Orders and reservations: name, billing and delivery address, email, phone, and order details. Payments are processed by our payment providers; we do not store your card details.

• Shipping quotes: your address and delivery details (property type, floor, lift, stairs) so we can quote accurately.

• Selling your furniture: your contact details, photos and descriptions of the pieces you send us, and your address if we arrange a pick-up.

• Newsletter: your email address, only if you subscribe.

• Browsing data: technical data and cookies, as explained in our Cookie Policy.

Why we use it and on what legal basis

• To answer your questions and give quotes: your request, or steps before a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).

• To process orders, reservations, deliveries, returns and purchases of your furniture: performance of a contract (art. 6.1.b).

• To keep invoices and accounting records: legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).

• To send our newsletter: your consent (art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time via the unsubscribe link.

• To keep our website secure and working: our legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

We do not sell your data and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

Only with providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:

• Squarespace (website hosting and online store)

• [Payment providers, e.g. Stripe / PayPal]

• Shipping carriers and delivery partners, for your delivery

• [Email marketing provider, if used]

• Our accountant or gestor, for tax obligations

• Public authorities, when legally required

Some providers, such as Squarespace, may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases, transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: until resolved, then up to 1 year.

• Orders and invoices: for as long as tax and commercial law requires (generally 6 years).

• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

• Furniture you offered us that we did not buy: deleted within 6 months.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to or restrict its use, request data portability, and withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@alhaurinfurniture.es with your request. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) at www.aepd.es.

Children

Our website and services are not intended for anyone under 14, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with its date.

This website uses cookies, small files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the site and store to work (for example, keeping items in your cart). Others, such as analytics or marketing cookies, are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner.
