From a Passion for Vintage Design to a New Chapter in Spain
Meet Aymerick & Priscilla
What started as a personal interest gradually became a hobby, then a side business, and eventually a way of life.
As a French-Mexican family, our journey began in Southern California, where a fascination with Scandinavian and Mid-Century Modern design grew into something much bigger. What started from a garage eventually became Aymerick Modern, home to one of Southern California’s largest collections of authentic, imported and carefully curated Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern furniture.
Over the years, the business grew into a 6,000-square-foot warehouse. But this was never simply about buying and selling furniture. We got our hands dirty. We traveled, imported, restored, and cared for each piece ourselves, bringing beautiful vintage furniture back to life and giving it the opportunity to become part of someone else’s story.
Then, in 2025, our family decided it was time for a new chapter.
We left Southern California and made the move to southern Spain, drawn by a different pace of life and a place where we felt more at home. After restoring our own 18th-century finca, we found ourselves ready to get busy again, this time in a very different way.
Our love for vintage furniture had never really left us.
So when the opportunity came to take over an established business that had been part of the local community since 2014, it felt like the perfect next step. In 2026, we became the new owners of Alhaurín Furniture Emporium.
Since then, we have been bringing our own experience, eye for design and passion for vintage pieces into the Emporium, while expanding and evolving what we offer. Alongside our eclectic collection of furniture and interiors, we have introduced a dedicated 20th-century design section for collectors and lovers of exceptional design.
We believe furniture deserves a second life.
Today, we live in a world of overproduction and overconsumption, where buying something new is often the default.
But it doesn't have to be.
A piece of furniture doesn't need to be brand new to be beautiful, functional or special. In fact, sometimes its little imperfections, its patina and the story behind it are exactly what make it worth having.
Choosing vintage and pre-loved furniture is also a way of choosing differently. It means keeping beautifully made pieces in circulation, reducing unnecessary consumption and creating interiors that feel personal rather than mass-produced.
Because why should your home look like everyone else's?
We believe your furniture should have character. It should make you stop and look. It should feel like you.
And perhaps most importantly, it should have a story of its own.
